VTG Defense seeks an Aircraft Mechanic III (VH-92A) at Patuxent River, MD to troubleshoot malfunctions in aircraft systems and perform general maintenance for the Presidential Helicopters Support Program.

You will conduct daily and pre-flight checks, service and repair airframes and engines, read manuals, and use test equipment to locate faults, with focus on ensuring airworthiness and safety.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent with specialty training applicable to aircraft maintenance.
• Minimum of six years' recent experience on rotary-wing aircraft (H-60, H-3, S-92 preferred).
• A&P license or FAA certification preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Troubleshoot malfunctions in various aircraft systems and perform general maintenance on assigned aircraft.
• Conduct daily and pre-flight checks to ensure flight safety standards.
• Service, repair, and overhaul aircraft and engines to maintain airworthiness.
• Replace or repair components using standard hand tools and testing equipment.
• Read manuals and service bulletins to determine repair methods; inspect turbine blades for cracks.
• Test engine operation with appropriate equipment to locate faults.
• Disassemble, inspect, and reassemble parts; adjust electrical wiring and aircraft accessories.

Connaissances

A&P License preferred

Six years rotary-wing experience

Security clearance: Top Secret
