A leading company in California is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III – F-18 Quality Assurance Representative. This role involves O-Level quality assurance on aircraft, including inspections and training lower-level employees. Candidates should have extensive experience in aircraft maintenance and quality assurance, with a focus on safety and compliance.
The Aircraft Mechanic III – F-18 Quality Assurance Representative performs O-Level quality assurance on assigned aircraft. Works from blueprints, maintenance manuals, quality control procedures, quality instructions, contractor standard specifications, Naval inspection manual/cards, and military technical directives. Inspects aircraft mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems assemblies and engines using general and special test equipment.
Monitors all required inspections of maintenance procedures and systems checkouts and is authorized to inspect safety of flight related maintenance actions. Acts as liaison with Government quality verification personnel. Complies with all current sections of NAVAIRINST 3710.1 (series) and CNAFINST 4790.2 (series) as applicable to Aircraft Maintenance, with thorough knowledge of flight line operations. Maintains required logs and records. Ensures work area is neat and orderly, and all safety rules and regulations are observed. Collaborates with other groups or personnel to resolve problems. Quality Assurance Inspectors also instruct and assist in training lower-level employees in proper work methods and performance of their duties. Performs related duties as assigned, including all duties of lower-rated technical personnel within their classification and assists other shops/skills as required.
