Akima Technical Solutions (ATS) in Pope, North Carolina seeks an Aircraft Mechanic I to repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and related systems. The role involves troubleshooting, reading maintenance manuals, and supporting C-27, C-12, and CASA aircraft, with on-site work in North Carolina.

The ideal candidate has aviation maintenance experience, the ability to read schematics and IETMs, and is capable of working in confined spaces and at heights. A valid U.S.

Qualifications

• Must have previous aviation maintenance experience (turbo-prop experience preferred).
• Ability to make sound decisions when troubleshooting and maintaining avionics systems.
• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret schematics and IETMs.
• Maintain aircraft logbook forms and records.
• Experience using multimeters and other applicable tools.
• Physical capability to work in tight spaces, at heights, on wings, ladders, tugs and lifts; kneeling, bending and squatting for long periods.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license.
• Ability to obtain/maintain a U.S. DoD Secret clearance (US citizenship required).

Responsibilities

• Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures and components using hand and power tools and equipment.
• Troubleshoot malfunctions on aircraft structures, landing gear, flight surfaces, and systems.
• Read and interpret manuals, service bulletins, and engineering data to determine repair methods.
• Support C-27, C-12 and CASA aircraft.
