Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED plus 10 years of relevant aircraft avionics experience.
• Strong knowledge of aircraft mechanical, electrical, structural, and avionics systems.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing aircraft components and systems.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and engineering documentation.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, replace, and modify aircraft electrical, avionics, mechanical, structural, and aircraft accessory systems.
• Perform maintenance on flight controls, engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel systems, wiring, and mechanical components.
• Conduct preflight, thru-flight, post-flight, phase, progressive, 100-hour, isochronal, and other scheduled inspections.
• Diagnose aircraft and engine malfunctions, including leaks, cracks, corrosion, wear, distortion, foreign object damage, and component failures.
• Perform aircraft sheet metal, structural repairs, and modifications.
• Build, modify, install, and troubleshoot wire bundles, conductors, and electrical components.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, engineering data, schematics, wiring diagrams, blueprints, service bulletins, and technical specifications.
• Utilize aircraft-specific tools and test equipment, including torque wrenches, micrometers, dial indicators, cable tensiometers, crimpers, wire strippers, and other specialized equipment.
• Document maintenance activities accurately in aircraft logs and records.
• Provide technical guidance and expertise to junior technicians, engineers, and customers.
