Job summary

REACH Air Medical Services is looking for an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) in Napa, California. The AMT will be responsible for ensuring the maintenance and safety of our EC135 fleet, providing timely and high-quality transportation services while delivering excellent patient care.

Applicants should have a valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license, a minimum of three years of turbine-powered helicopter experience, and the ability to work a flexible schedule. This position offers a starting salary between $78,287 and $113,480 annually, along with an IA stipend and sign-on bonus.

Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT)

• Starting Salary: $78,287 - $113,480 annually (including 20% geo modifier)

Reach Air Medical Services is seeking an experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to oversee the overall maintenance and safety of our EC135 fleet. The AMT will support timely, high-quality transportation services and provide exceptional care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services, including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs; provide regular status updates to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure adequate supplies and equipment; update equipment tracking log and place replacement requests.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information; comply with company policies, procedures, and information security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the maintenance team and flight crew.
• Facilitate coordination between departments, vendors, and team members using appropriate communication methods.
• Collaborate professionally with all allied health, public safety personnel, and internal team members.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years turbine-powered helicopter experience.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid state-issued driver’s license.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• Experience with EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records, and maintenance support and planning.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including overtime and 24/7 on-call rotations.
• Compliance with FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Ability to push/pull 100+ lbs and lift/carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• EC135 maintenance experience.
• FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate.
• Experience under CFR Parts 91, 135, and 145.
• Autopilot maintenance experience.
• Avionics and electrical repair experience.
