Job summary

Med-Trans Corporation is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) to maintain and ensure the safety of our rotor-wing fleet in Albuquerque, NM. The role focuses on Leonardo 119 airframe support, with responsibilities to perform inspections, repairs and maintain clear FAA documentation.

The ideal candidate has an A&P license, turbine helicopter maintenance experience, and the ability to work within regulatory standards while delivering high-quality patient transportation services.

Qualifications

• Leonardo 119 maintenance experience.
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance with at least 6 months in last 24 months.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid State driver's license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge.
• EMS systems, aircraft maintenance systems, records and planning.
• Must live within an hour of base.
• FAA drug and alcohol testing program eligibility.
• Able to lift 50 lbs and push/pull 100+ lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening and repairs; provide regular statuses to Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks; update equipment tracking log; place replacement requests; document expenditures.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information; adhere to procedures; comply with information security standards.
• Maintain a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Communicate effectively to coordinate with departments, vendors and team members.
• Collaborate professionally with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow AMTs and operations team.

We’re hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Med-Trans. This technician will be qualified to support our Leonardo 119 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Leonardo 119 maintenance experience
• Three (3) years of turbine helicopter maintenance experience with a minimum of six months helicopter maintenance experience during the last 24 months
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Must live within an hour of base
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• FAA Inspection Authorization Certification
• Related experience under CFR Part 135
• Autopilot maintenance experience
• Avionics and electrical repair experience
