Job summary

West Star Aviation, LLC is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician in Wheeling, IL. The role involves performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems, removing and installing panels and components, troubleshooting issues, and working with engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.

You will also operate ground support equipment, conduct inspections, and assist with taxiing and performance runs.

Responsibilities

• Performing general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems
• Removal and installation of panels and components
• Troubleshooting and problem solving aircraft system/component issues
• De-fueling aircraft
• Engine removal/installations
• Operating ground support equipment
• Inspection and evaluation of the aircraft and components
• Aircraft movement and assistance in performance runs/taxiing
• Maintenance and repair of shop facility, equipment and tooling
• Basic computer skills to navigate electronic training, manuals, and maintenance databases
• Effective spoken/written/reading English communication

• Effectively and clearly communicate (i.e., speak, write, read) in English
• Any other job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
