Job summary

Guardian Flight in Colorado is hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician for a full‑time role in Alamosa and Del Norte. You will maintain and inspect King Air C90 airframes, ensuring safety and reliability for patient transport.

This position requires flight line readiness and adherence to FAA regulations. The ideal candidate has at least three years of turboprop/turbine experience, holds a valid A&P license, and can work flexible hours.

Qualifications

• Three years turboprop or turbine fixed-wing maintenance experience.
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Valid state driver’s license.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Knowledge of Federal Aviation Regulations (FAR).
• Familiar with EMS maintenance systems and records.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections and repairs.
• Manage inventory checks and update equipment tracking log.
• Document service paperwork and FAA information per policies.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment for AMTs and flight crew.
• Communicate across departments, vendors and team members.
• Collaborate with clinicians and operations staff as needed.

Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician IMMEDIATELY HIRING! Aircraft Maintenance Technician FULL-TIME Opportunity in Alamosa and Del Norte, CO

Starting Salary: $65,239 - $113,480 annually

We’re hiring a Float Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) responsible for the overall maintenance and safety of our fleet within Guardian Flight. This technician will be qualified to support our King Air C90 airframe. This is a key role to ensure our team can safely maintain and deliver timely and high-quality transportation services, care and customer service to patients.

Responsibilities

• Aircraft Maintenance Technician will perform maintenance services including mechanical inspections, screening, repairs and provide regular statuses to the Lead Technician.
• Manage inventory checks to ensure stock of supplies and equipment, regularly update the equipment tracking log, place replacement requests when necessary and document part expenditures.
• Clearly document service paperwork and FAA information as required and adhere to policies and procedures while complying with the company’s information security standards.
• Take pride in sustaining a safe and clean working environment for the aircraft maintenance team and flight crew.
• Use appropriate communication methods to help facilitate coordination of efforts between departments, vendors and team members.
• Work collaboratively and in a professional manner with all allied health and public safety personnel as well as your fellow AMTs and operations team.

Minimum Required Qualifications

• Three (3) years turboprop and/or turbine powered fixed-wing experience
• Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license
• Valid State issued Driver's license
• High School diploma or GED equivalent
• Federal Aviation Regulations knowledge
• EMS Systems, Aircraft maintenance systems, records and maintenance support and planning
• Ability to work a flexible schedule including overtime.
• Must be acceptable in accordance with the FAA drug and alcohol testing program.
• Must be able to push and/or pull 100+ lbs.
• Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• King Air C90 maintenance experience
• FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate
• Related experience under CFR Part 14
• Autopilot maintenance experience.
• Avionics and electrical repair experience.
