Job summary

Utah Valley University (UVU) is seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Technician to work in its aviation program. You will inspect, test, adjust, and repair various aircraft systems and airframes in accordance with manufacturer standards and FAA Part 145 procedures.

Ideal candidates will have two years of post-secondary education, two years of apprenticeship experience, and an A&P certificate. The role emphasizes safety, accurate documentation, and collaboration with experienced aviation professionals

Qualifications

• Two years of post-secondary education from an accredited college, university, or recognized trade school.
• Two years of related aircraft maintenance apprenticeship experience.
• Valid Aircraft Maintenance Technician Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) ratings.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections, testing, adjustments, and repairs on aircraft systems and airframes.
• Prepare and maintain documentation, including discrepancies and airworthiness directives.
• End-of-shift cleanup of hazardous materials and materials management.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
