All Aviation Jobs seeks an Aircraft Maintenance Technician at Maxwell AFB, AL. The role involves assembling, disassembling and modifying aerospace systems, configuring vehicles and bench test equipment, and troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults.

This is an in-person, full-time position through the end of the year, with 1st and 2nd shifts (0700–1530 and 1500–0100, Monday–Friday) and occasional weekend work for comp time.

Qualifications

  • Avionics experience on military or aerospace platforms.
  • MS Office proficiency (Excel, Word).
  • Testing, repair, and configuration experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, disassemble and modify aerospace systems to correct failures or implement changes.
  • Configure aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate faults and repair components.
  • Document procedures and regulatory compliance (repairs, test results, modifications, inspections).
  • Inspect components for flight worthiness and oversee training.

  • Assembles, disassembles and/or modifies systems by changing, removing, replacing or upgrading aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Oversees assembly, disassembly or overhaul.
  • Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment.
  • Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Performs validation/verification testing of systems and components.
  • Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results).
  • Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Oversees training. Works under general direction.
  • Duration: to end of year
  • Work Schedule (i.e. FT, PT, On-Call): Full time -40 hr week
  • Shift Expectations (First, Second, Third): Various, 1st and 2nd shift (All Candidates need to be available and able to work all shifts since there is possibility for the shift to change due to program need.)
  • 1st Shift Start: 0700
  • 1st Shift End: 1530 Monday - Friday
  • 2nd Shift Start: 1500
  • 2nd Shift End: 0100 Monday - Thrusday
  • Some weekend shift available to comp time on Saturdays

Shift Details

Required Experience
  • Significant experience military avionics experience desired on any platform. (3-5 years avionics exp)
  • Microsoft office experience (excel, word, etc.)
  • Testing, repair, and configuration experience
Preferred Experience
  • Previous experience with M240 maintenance, uploading of chaff/flare onto aircraft, explosive handling for squibs, solid knowledge using IMDS, knowledge of AF-21-10, knowledge of TO 00-20-1.
  • Military background
  • Experience helicopter maintenance
  • AMP experience
  • Education Level: High School Diploma
  • Interview Process: 15 minute phone call.
Education / Experience
  • Education/experience typically acquired through basic education (e.g. High School diploma/GED) and typically 4 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. vocational school/Associate+2 years' related work, Bachelor, etc.).
Pay

Pay: $43.00 per hour
