Job summary

West Star Aviation in Chattanooga, TN is seeking an Embraer Aircraft Maintenance Technician. This full-time, on-site role involves diagnosing and repairing complex systems, performing engine work, and coordinating with teams to ensure safe, efficient aircraft readiness.

AHS background and FAA-aligned maintenance practices apply. Candidates should have a high school diploma, basic computer skills, and relevant Airframe/Powerplant licenses.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license approved for airline travel and/or valid passport is ideal, but not mandatory.
• Airframe license required; Powerplant license preferred for higher AMT levels.
• 0–2 years aviation maintenance experience (AMT I).
• 2–4 years aviation maintenance experience (AMT II).
• 4–6+ years aviation maintenance experience (AMT III).
• 6+ years aviation maintenance experience (AMT IV).

Responsibilities

• Perform general mechanical tasks on aircraft and related systems.
• Remove and install panels and components.
• Troubleshoot aircraft system issues.
• De-fuel aircraft.
• Perform engine removal/installation.
• Operate ground support equipment.
• Inspect and evaluate aircraft and components.
• Assist with taxiing and performance runs.
• Maintain shop facilities and tooling.
• Navigate electronic training data and maintenance databases.
• Communicate clearly in English.
