This role requires advanced technical expertise in aircraft systems, adherence to regulatory standards, and the ability to mentor junior technicians. The Senior Aircraft Maintenance Technician plays a crucial role in maintaining operational efficiency while ensuring compliance with FAA and industry regulations.**Job Responsibilities**:Aircraft Maintenance & Repair* Assist in performing scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on aircraft, ensuring work aligns with FAA regulations under supervision.* Support troubleshooting and repair activities for mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and other aircraft systems.* Aid in conducting inspections, functional tests, and replacing components as directed by senior technicians.* Ensure documentation and log entries meet manufacturer and regulatory requirements, with guidance from senior team members.Regulatory Compliance & Safety* Follow all aviation maintenance safety protocols, including understanding FAA Part 91 regulations.* Help maintain records of maintenance activities, ensuring accuracy under the direction of senior staff.* Support in audits, inspections, and quality assurance processes to help uphold high safety standards.Troubleshooting & Diagnostics* Utilize diagnostic tools and manuals to assist in identifying aircraft system malfunctions, supervised by experienced technicians.* Work with engineers and manufacturers when necessary to address technical issues, supporting improvement in maintenance practices.* Identify patterns in recurring issues under supervision and suggest corrective measures to senior technicians.Process Improvement & Efficiency* Recommend improvements to maintenance procedures, tools, and workflows.* Participate in Lean/Continuous Improvement initiatives to reduce downtime and optimize efficiency.**Experience:*** 2+ years of aircraft maintenance experience, with a focus on troubleshooting and complex repairs.* Previous experience working in MRO, airline, charter, or corporate aviation environments**Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*** Understanding of engines, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and avionics* Knowledge of FAA or relevant aviation authority rules and procedures.* Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and maintenance instructions.* Ability to diagnose issues, identifying faults in systems and components, and implement efficient solutions**Supervisor Responsibilities****:*** None.
