Job summary

Amazon Air is hiring an Aircraft Maintenance Manager - Operations (AMM-Ops) for the CVG area, serving as the technical bridge between carrier maintenance teams and our Network Control Center. You will monitor fleet health, assess maintenance events, and drive predictive tooling adoption to protect on-time performance.

The role requires 3+ years in cross-functional tech/non-tech work, process improvement with data, and an FAA A&P credential, with a 24/7 operations mindset and shift work including

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams.
  • 3+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics.
  • FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate or equivalent aviation maintenance credential.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor aircraft maintenance disruptions across the Amazon Air network in real time and keep tracking systems accurate.
  • Track airworthiness limitations and deferrals, including MEL, CDL, ETOPS, RVSM, CAT III, and Autoland status, and translate them into fleet-readiness implications.
  • Analyze maintenance events to determine network operational impact and recommend recovery actions that protect the schedule; apply AI-driven analytics for return-to-service timing.
  • Partner with Amazon Air teams and carrier Maintenance Control leadership to coordinate maintenance responses and build repeatable recovery playbooks.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between carrier Maintenance Control leadership and Amazon Air operations.
  • Represent aircraft maintenance status on operational calls and cross-functional bridges, communicating current impacts and estimated recovery.
  • Collaborate across Amazon Air and partner organizations to share best practices and improve end-to-end maintenance performance.
  • Learn, evaluate, and adopt approved AI tools and provide frontline feedback for future fleet-health tools.
