Responsibilities

• Develops, interprets, and provides program guidance to the Wing regarding maintenance policies, procedures, budget, training criteria, and manpower/personnel.
• Interprets command aircraft assignment configuration and reporting policy and informs appropriate Wing personnel of requirements and provides follow-up to ensure compliance.
• Creates functional checklists, guides, and other evaluation tools for maintenance proficiency.
• Develops, reviews and implements maintenance procedures and instructions for aircraft maintenance missions.
• Manages the maintenance training program and ensures personnel are properly trained to fulfill mission requirements.
• Evaluates maintenance organization structure, identifies deficiencies, and prepares briefings on manpower levels and readiness.
• Represents the Maintenance Operations branch in meetings and panels; maintains relationships with wing, other units, NGB and Major Commands.
• Plans and schedules work to promote smooth flow; assigns work to subordinates; balances workload and provides guidance on policy and administrative issues.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
