Job summary

Republic Airways is seeking a MX Mechanic to assist licensed A&P Mechanics in preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications on aircraft and related components. You will read manuals and service bulletins, determine repair methods, and document work in our systems.

Qualified applicants have at least 30 months of concurrent airframe and powerplant experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 30 months of concurrent experience for both Airframe and Powerplant ratings.

Responsibilities

• Assist licensed A&P Mechanics to perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and modifications.
• Read and interpret maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and specifications.
• Accurately complete required maintenance-related paperwork and maintenance computer system transactions.
• Maintain safety standards and pass background checks and drug tests.

Reasonable accommodation may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.Repairs, modifies, replaces or otherwise performs routine aircraft maintenance work in a safe and timely manner.Accurately completes required maintenance-related paperwork.Communicates effectively with other maintenance personnel at all levels by keeping co-workers and leadership apprised of work progress and difficulties as they arise.Completes on-the-job-training (OJT) forms and any required reading.Reads and interprets manufacturer and airline maintenance manuals, service bulletins, drawings and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repair, replacement or modification.Helps with general cleanup of work areas.Maintains regular and prompt attendance and time clock adherence.Demonstrates effective and appropriate conduct with co-workers.Evaluates the area and equipment that will be utilized to ensure that safety is not compromised before performing any maintenance action.
