Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Appleton is seeking an Interior Install Technician II to support aircraft interior installations, removals and refurbishments under supervision. You will work with trimming, cabinetry, panels and related components, following design specifications and quality standards.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of related installation experience, and a willingness to adapt to schedule changes. Excellent safety and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; 2 years of installation/fabrication experience; aerospace experience preferred.
• Experience reading blueprints/engineering docs is beneficial.
• Ability to safely perform interior removal, installation and fabrication to specification.

Responsibilities

• Safely perform aircraft removal, installation, and/or fabrication of aircraft interiors (galleys, closets, lavatories, side ledges, bulkheads, doors and panels).
• Use material tracking system to create parts demand, track squawks and to sign-off work.
• Follow SOPs when using tools and equipment (hand tools, band saws, shears, sanders and brakes).
• Prepare and install aircraft interior items in accordance with procedures and quality standards.
• Remove and re-install nut plates, inserts and fasteners used in interiors.
• Comply with safety, 5S, and housekeeping policies; address unsafe conditions.
• Assist technicians under supervision with maintenance requirements.
• Adapt to sudden schedule changes.
• Develop and implement process improvements using Lean Six Sigma and other methods.
• Make and use simple patterns with standardized procedures.
• May include flight tests in support of certification.
