Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems in Iuka, MS is seeking an Aircraft Inspector 1/2 to join our team. The role requires inspection of aircraft components and sub-assemblies to ensure conformance with government and company standards, with potential customer interaction.

The position involves two shifts (C-shift and D-shift) and requires either a High School diploma or GED, plus the ability to pass physical and security requirements for government clearance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; education will be verified.
• Ability to plan and organize multiple tasks with attention to detail.
• Record detailed information accurately and in a timely manner.
• Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical work (lift up to 50 pounds, overhead).
• Must pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam.
• Active Government Secret clearance and ability to obtain Program Special access; US citizenship required for clearance.
• Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants.
• Must pass visual exam.

Responsibilities

• Inspects aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications.
• Inspects the adjustments, repairs, or modifications made to aircraft components, sub-assemblies and final product.
• Will monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.
• May communicate directly with customers to ensure customer satisfaction.
