Job summary

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems (NGAS) in Iuka, MS, seeks an Aircraft Inspector Level 3 to join a qualified team. The role requires inspecting components and sub-assemblies, verifying quality, and ensuring conformance to standards.

On-site work with potential overtime, a strong emphasis on attention to detail and safety, and collaboration with customers. Requirements include a high school diploma or GED with 4 years in inspection, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and the ability to obtain

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent GED required (education will be verified) with 4 years of relevant mechanical and/or inspection experience
  • Experience in inspection processes; knowledge and use of inspection and testing instruments
  • Experience with common quality systems such as non-conformances, cause/corrective actions
  • Demonstrated ability to plan and organize work in order to accomplish multiple assigned tasks while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Provide input to the technical needs and solutions required for the manufacture, inspection of materials and components
  • Ability to record detailed information accurately and in a timely manner
  • Must be able to perform moderate strenuous physical and repetitious work to include bending, stooping, kneeling, lifting up to 50 pounds, and working overhead
  • Must be able to access small, confined spaces and work in an enclosed environment
  • The ability to pass New Hire Physical/Respiratory Exam
  • Must be able to work around composites, epoxies, and sealants for long periods of time
  • Ability to obtain and maintain DoD Secret Clearance and Special Program Access
  • Must pass visual exam

The position requires on-site support located in Iuka, MS.

Duties
  • Inspect aircraft components, parts, and sub-assemblies for operation and conformance to government and/or company standards and specifications.

Basic Qualifications for Aircraft Inspector Level 3

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in a highly technical aerospace/manufacturing environment.
  • Active DoD Secret Clearance
  • Familiarity with the quality process
  • Work experience in manufacturing composite parts
  • Related industry experience in either manufacturing or inspection
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System and specification analyzation
  • Knowledge of Wiring systems and Hydraulic systems

Note: Primary shift will be: A Shift - 4/10's - 7:00 AM – 5:30 PM (may vary depending on business needs) but must be willing to work any shift/schedule as determined by the business needs.

Primary Level Salary Range: $47,300.00 - $78,800.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.

Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
