Job summary

Avflight Corporation is seeking a Line Services Technician to support fueling, de-icing, and aircraft servicing on the ramp. You will direct aircraft movement, secure aircraft, and maintain clean, safe airside areas to ensure smooth operations for crews and passengers.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver's license, ability to lift 70 lbs, and willingness to work varied shifts outdoors in all weather, including weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• High School diploma or GED or equivalent.
• 2 years related experience; aviation experience a plus.
• Must pass background check and pre-employment drug test; valid driver's license.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift/push/pull heavy loads up to 70 lbs.
• Willing to work varied hours including swing/graveyard shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Work outdoors in all weather and loud airport environments.

Responsibilities

• Fuel aircraft and apply de-icing per approved standards.
• Direct aircraft movement and secure parked aircraft as required.
• Drive, service, and operate fuel trucks and ground support vehicles.
• Assist with lavatory service, aircraft/area cleaning, and maintenance.
• Perform daily fuel farm inspections and safety checks.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety around hangars and ramp areas.

Job description

General Purpose of Job: The Line Services Technician position is responsible for providing fuel, oil, hangar and tie down storage, lavatory service, courtesy car transportation, luggage handling and interior and exterior services to customers and other departments. Additional responsibilities include commercial ramp operations, aircraft cleaning, operations and commissary duties as required.Duties:Performs fueling and de-icing of all types of aircraft in accordance to specific standardsDirects the movement of aircraft and vehicular traffic on the ramp and in and about the shops and hangars of the Company's facilities; properly secures all parked aircraft at all times, clean windshields, remove trash, perform lavatory service and check tire pressures as requestedDrives and services fuel trucks and ground support vehicles, and services aircraft and ground support vehicles with fuel, oil, and all other supplies and materials which may be required by the aircraft or vehicle; responsible for operating and filling of fuel trucks; cleaning, servicing, operating, and performing minor maintenance to this equipmentUse safety related equipment and provide de-icing service to aircraft when neededPerforms grounds keeping and janitorial maintenance duties, drives snow plow and assist with snow removal as requiredMaintain the cleanliness and maintenance of the areas in and about the Company's vicinityAssists all aircraft crews and passengers by courteously providing services they may requireAssist with daily fuel farm inspections including performing preloading and quality control inspectionsPerform daily and monthly fuel truck safety inspections. Must be able to carry 70 pound suitcase from the floor to 18 inches and carry 70 pound suitcase in front of you with both hands for a distance of up to 25 feet; Must have physical dexterity sufficient to perform repetitive tasks and motions, including bending at the waist and knees, squatting, kneeling, crawling, twisting and sustaining those positions for extended amounts of time. Must have sufficient vision and ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position.Work Environment: Airport environment: Indoors and Outdoors.
