Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group company, is hiring an Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) in Tampa, Florida. This is an entry-level maintenance position designed for candidates with zero to two years of aviation fuel maintenance experience.

The Technician will perform fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks under supervision. Training will be provided to learn aircraft fuel system maintenance procedures.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks per manuals and data.
  • Complete preventive maintenance and alterations as directed.

  • Perform tasks in proper sequence and safety standards.
  • Request required inspections in a timely manner.
  • Ensure tools and test equipment are current and labeled.
  • Record completed work in maintenance records.
  • Maintain clean, organized work area and comply with 14 CFR Parts 43 and 145.

Job description

Tank Tigers, an STS Aviation Group company, is hiring an Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) in Tampa, Florida.

This is an entry-level aircraft maintenance position designed for candidates with zero to two years of aviation fuel maintenance experience. The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician will perform fuel tank maintenance, preventive maintenance and alteration tasks under the direction of the Facility Supervisor and/or Facility Manager.

Mechanical experience is preferred, and candidates must be able to learn and perform aircraft fuel system maintenance through training.

Position Overview

The Aircraft Fuel Cell Technician (Class C) performs assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable maintenance data, company procedures and customer requirements.

This position does not include management, supervisory or inspection responsibilities. Class C Technicians are not authorized to sign maintenance releases approving maintained or altered articles for return to service and are not required to hold certification under 14 CFR Part 65.

The work requires schedule flexibility and the ability to work in small areas and confined spaces.

Responsibilities
  • Perform assigned aircraft fuel tank maintenance tasks in accordance with applicable maintenance manuals and maintenance data
  • Complete preventive maintenance and alteration tasks as directed
  • Ensure completed or partially completed maintenance work is properly documented and signed off
  • Perform maintenance activities in the appropriate sequence
  • Request required inspections in an orderly and timely manner
  • Complete work in accordance with applicable maintenance data and customer requirements
  • Verify that test equipment and tools used for airworthiness determinations are properly labeled and current
  • Request stock and materials required for assigned work
  • Accurately record completed work on applicable maintenance records
  • Complete additional required maintenance paperwork
  • Maintain a clean and orderly work area
  • Maintain awareness of applicable requirements under 14 CFR Parts 43 and 145
  • Become familiar with the company Repair Station Manual and Quality Control Manual
  • Remain familiar with subsequent revisions to applicable company manuals
  • Record on-the-job training for assigned tasks
  • Immediately report procedures, practices or conditions that could lead to injury, inefficiency or unairworthy conditions
  • Work in small areas and confined spaces as required
  • Maintain flexibility to support required work schedules
Qualifications
