Job summary

South Carolina Army National Guard seeks an Aircraft Engine Mechanic to support the SC AASF. This National Guard Title 32 Excepted service position covers assembly, disassembly, maintenance, overhaul, troubleshooting, testing, and repair of aircraft engines and powertrains for aircraft in the SC fleet.

Applicants must meet military requirements and be eligible for immediate membership; National Guard membership is required.

Qualifications

Experience assembling and disassembling aircraft engines and engine assemblies per technical specifications.
Experience using hand and power tools common to the trade.

Responsibilities

Perform assembly and disassembly of aircraft engines and engine components.
Maintain overhaul, troubleshoot, test, and repair aircraft engines and powertrains.
Determine maintenance requirements from work orders, inspection reports, and historical records.
