Job summary

StandardAero seeks an Aircraft Engine Mechanic to maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft engines, modules, and components in a safety‑minded, team‑driven environment.

You will read schematics and manuals, perform disassembly/assembly, troubleshoot issues, and document work while adhering to regulatory and company procedures; FAA certification is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical data for engine work.
  • Proficient in using precision measuring equipment and hand tools.
  • Able to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
  • Willing to work day/evening/overtime as required.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and reassemble engines, modules, and components per work scopes.
  • Troubleshoot and adjust systems following manuals and procedures.
  • Interpret manuals and drawings for engine repair and overhaul.
  • Ensure replacement parts meet specifications and document work.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and company procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes.

Aircraft Engine Mechanic (Rolls Royce)

As an Aircraft Engine Mechanic, you'll maintain, repair, and overhaul aircraft engines, modules, and components to assure compliance with established company standards, contractual obligations and airworthiness regulatory requirements. Performs technical troubleshooting using mechanical ability and product knowledge. Cross trains in other complementary skills as needed to support production requirements.

What you'll do:

  • Perform disassembly and/or assembly of engines, modules, and components in accordance with customer work scopes, manufacturer's instructions, and other approved technical data.
  • Troubleshoot to identify problems, perform required adjustments, and repair products according to manufacturer's instructions and established procedures.
  • Interpret technical manuals, drawings, and other relevant documentation necessary for repair and overhaul of customer's engines.
  • Use tools, fixtures, gauges, plant equipment and consumables necessary to carry out assembly and disassembly tasks as required.
  • Verify serviceability, conformity, and compatibility of replacement parts used for assembly and ensure documentation is in compliance with regulatory and company procedures.
  • Provide records and maintain proper documentation of work performed in accordance with regulatory and company procedure.
  • Assure that only airworthy equipment is available for the safe and timely completion of customer's engines, modules, components and assemblies.
  • Participate in continuous improvement of cell processes and company procedures.
  • Observe all applicable safety requirements and report immediately any unsafe practices/conditions.
  • Adhere to all company established policies and procedures.
  • Learn complementary skills in other areas as necessary.
  • Perform additional duties and tasks as required by department lead or manager

Position Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to read and understand schematics, blueprints, and other technical information required for the assembly/disassembly of engines.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds (assisted) for approximately 25% of the average work day.
  • Ability to stand for prolonged periods and use stands and ladders as required.
  • High degree of mechanical aptitude, and accuracy and precision with work performed.
  • Knowledgeable and proficient in the correct use of precision measuring equipment.
  • Ability to follow and understand related company instructions and procedures, adhere to original equipment manufacturer's manuals, and interpret technical data required for engine processing.
  • Specialized training or experience in engineering or aircraft maintenance (AME, A&P, AMT); or equivalent. (Preferred)
  • Experience as an aircraft mechanic in an aerospace environment. (Preferred)
  • Ability to work day shift, second shift, and overtime as required to meet company needs.
  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Preferred Characteristics:

  • FAA Powerplant certification is a plus.
