Job summary

StandardAero is seeking an Inspector to verify and document the status of aviation components undergoing repair or overhaul. You will determine configuration, ensure cleanliness, and assess repairability while maintaining rigorous inspection records.

The role requires at least 1 year in aircraft engine components repair, a Repairman Certificate pathway, and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds and sit for part of the shift.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in the aircraft engine components repair industry.
• Ability to document at least 1 year of on-the-job training (OJT) to qualify for a Repairman Certificate.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for at least 25% of the shift.
• Ability to sit for at least 50% of shift.

Responsibilities

• Determine and document product configuration and modification status to ensure regulatory and customer requirements.
• Verify parts are clean and in acceptable condition to perform inspections.
• Evaluate products for repairability and identify items that do not meet requirements.
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
• Generate documentation for repair of unserviceable components.
• Inspect and identify parts through the RTS process.
• Support production by supervising trainees and cross-training team members, participating in process improvements, and maintaining safety standards.
• Other duties as assigned.

What you’ll do:

Basic Qualifications:

• 1+ years of experience in the aircraft engine components repair industry.
• Must be able to provide documentation of at least 1 year or more of on-the-job training (OJT) specific to the duties performed in order to qualify for a Repairman Certificate in a short period of time.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds for at least 25% of the shift
• Ability to sit for at least 50% of shift

Desired Skills

• Must be able to demonstrate experience in using precision measuring tools.
• Knowledgeable in and ability to identify and interpret conditions on products that are the result of service operation.
• Ability to use and interpret publications used in the production process (graphs, charts, schematics, blueprints).
• Working knowledge of the functions and operation of the products being inspected.
• Working knowledge of production management computer system and other related internal control systems.
• Experience with RTS (Return to Service) on aircraft parts.
• Ability to sign off on 8130’s by having a repairman certificate or A&P license.
