Job summary

Transmission & Distribution World is seeking an Air Reserve Technician (ART) to support installation, troubleshooting, programming, testing, and repair of complex aircraft electrical and environmental systems. The role involves training and evaluation of personnel, with focus on safety and adherence to technical orders.

The ART position requires alignment with Air Force Reserve duties, potential for non-ART duties up to 30 percent, and a required security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of electrical/environmental systems and their integration with hydraulic, fuel, electronic, instrument, weapon, and mechanical systems.
  • Understanding of electrical theories, circuit principles, and testing/troubleshooting techniques.
  • Ability to interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, schematics and engineering instructions.
  • Familiarity with safety rules and tool control procedures in a hazardous environment.
  • Experience with installation, inspection, modification, and overhaul of complex electrical/environmental components.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot complex electrical/environmental systems on aircraft and related equipment.
  • Install, inspect, modify, repair, and overhaul electrical/environmental systems on and off equipment.
  • Perform final functional and operational tests of systems.
  • Develop and execute training plans for assigned personnel.
  • Maintain safety practices and clean work areas.
