Job summary

IDS Inland Deicing Services, LLC is hiring a part-time seasonal Aircraft Deicer for Anchorage, AK. The role involves removing ice from aircraft, inspecting for frozen contamination, and applying glycol-based deicing fluid.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Maintain and treat all information as confidential.
• Must be able to read, write, understand, and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to verbally direct in English.
• Possess the tact to deal with all levels of employees and client representatives.
• Successful completion of IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.
• A valid driver's license is required for this position.
• Successful completion of the airport badging or background check process required for this location.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and make sure all company policies and procedures are being followed correctly.
• Uphold and follow the duties related to de/anti-icing aircraft according to procedures for both airlines and IDS, including inspecting aircraft for frozen contamination.
• Participate in the pre-planning for the de/anti-ice event (perform checks on equipment, trucks, servicing equipment with fuel or glycol).
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, including paperwork and log books; that all maintenance issues have been logged and reported to maintenance, and all proper shutdown procedures for the equipment are followed.
