Job summary

Inland Group of Companies is seeking an Aircraft Deicer at Cedar Rapids Airport. This part-time seasonal role involves removing ice from aircraft, inspecting for contamination, and applying deicing fluid.

Candidates must be at least 18, have a high school diploma (or equivalent) and proficient English. The job requires standing during shifts, safety awareness, and the ability to follow procedures.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Must read, write, understand and carry out instructions in English.
• Must be able to speak and hear efficiently.
• Certifications/Licenses: Valid driver’s license.
• IDS classroom and OJT de-/anti-icing training completed.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a safe environment during the de/anti-icing operation and follow company policies.
• Inspect aircraft for frozen contamination after deicing.
• Participate in pre-planning for de/anti-ice events (check equipment and trucks).
• Ensure proper shutdown of pads, complete paperwork and logs.
• Log maintenance issues and report them per procedures.
