Job summary

Gulfstream Aerospace Appleton is seeking an RS Acft Component Repair Tech II to repair and overhaul internal and external aircraft assemblies in accordance with Repair Station requirements. You will interpret blueprints, use precision tools, and perform mechanical and electrical repairs across various subassemblies.

The role requires 2 years of related experience in sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical harness work, or related tasks, with strong adherence to safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Able to interpret blueprints, engrg docs and use precision measuring tools.
• Proficient operation of all tools/equip in the dept incl glass bead & carboblast machines.
• Must possess basic understanding of shop math.
• 2 years experience in Sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harness buildup, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal/installation/servicing.

Responsibilities

• Repair and overhaul internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies and components in accordance with Gulfstream Repair Station requirements.
• Perform repairs of mechanical and electrical assemblies and subassemblies per blueprints, manuals and maintenance data.
• Set up, maintain and operate test equipment to perform functional and operational tests.
• Inspect detail parts to ensure conformity with requirements.
• Remove skins and related components on flight controls and secondary structure components and reinstall parts.
• Demonstrate repair techniques including soldering and protective coatings.
• Maintain required paperwork per RS requirements and keep work area clean.
• Comply with environmental health and safety regulations.
• Lays-out, removes, fabricates and installs repairs to flight controls and secondary structures.
• Fabricate and repair sheetmetal and electrical harnesses; remove/install APUs and perform APU maintenance.
