Gulfstream Aerospace Corporation in Savannah seeks an Aircraft Component Repair Tech 2 to repair and overhaul aircraft components. You will read blueprints and repair manuals, use precision measuring tools, and work with sheetmetal and electrical systems under Repair Station requirements.
The role requires ability to interpret engrg docs, operate glass bead and carboblast equipment, and maintain safety and quality standards while collaborating with teams.

Hiring for Multiple Shifts.Must be able to obtain and/or renew Respirator Certification upon hire.
Familiarity with repairing and/or assembling Landing Gear with the use of repair manuals along with engineering drawings, specifications, and dispositions.
Work with supporting organizations to evaluate and determine the correct path forward as it relates to repair direction.
Ability to read and use various precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, depth gauges, etc.) and work with close tolerance specifications.

High School Diploma or GED required. Able to interpret blueprints, engrg docs and use precision measuring tools. Proficient operation of all tools/equip in the dept incl glass bead & carboblast machines. Must possess basic understanding of shop math. 2 years experience in one of the following or other related experience: Sheetmetal, hydraulic overhaul, electrical/electronic harness buildup, electrical systems troubleshooting, battery servicing, APU removal, installation, and servicing.Position Purpose:Under moderate supervision, repair and overhaul internal and external aircraft assemblies, subassemblies and components in accordance with Gulfstream Repair Station requirements.
