Job summary

KingAirNation in the United States seeks an experienced technician to disassemble, inspect, repair, reassemble, and test aircraft electrical/electronic components. You will read wiring diagrams, use test benches and PPE, and ensure on-time task completion and proper documentation. Strong attention to detail, safety discipline, and ability to work from drawings are essential. FAA/DOT screening applies.

Qualifications

• In-depth knowledge of electronic and printed circuit board components.
• Ability to remove and replace components of printed circuit boards using basic soldering and desoldering equipment.
• Ability to operate and maintain various avionics/electrical support equipment and test benches.
• Ability to operate equipment such as power supplies, multimeters, soldering stations, oscilloscope (preferred), rotary tools and to distinguish between various colors of wiring.
• Demonstrated proficiency at interpreting wiring diagrams and schematics.
• Must possess basic electronics hand tools as required.
• Effectively read, write, and understand English.
• A strong ability to follow verbal instructions with a high level of attention to detail.
• Must have good interpersonal and communication skills, good work ethic and be dedicated to working safely.
• Demonstrated abilities in problem-solving, critical thinking, and basic mathematics.
• Good organizational skills
• Must be able to pass a FAA/DOT drug screen.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment, including a respirator, as required.
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent and have unrestricted authorization to work in the United States.
• Basic Electronics & Electrical Class – preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspects, disassembles, cleans, repairs, modifies, reassembles, and tests aircraft electrical and electronic parts / components.
• Reads, interprets, and adheres to wiring diagrams, drawings, blueprints, manufacturing specifications, work instructions, regulations, repair manuals, and quality procedures.
• Ensures the on-time completion of tasks and reviews work for quality and completeness.
• Demonstrates clear and effective communication, both verbal and written. Prepares, maintains, and submits accurate paperwork as required, including job reports, timekeeping records, etc.
• Adheres to all applicable environmental, safety and health, and operations procedures and directives. This includes proper use of personal protective equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), and company guidelines.
• Ensures job site safety, promotes safe work practices, and works to rectify job site hazards.
• Performs other related tasks as assigned, some of which may become essential to the position.

Physical & Environmental Conditions

• Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, employees are regularly required to sit, walk, stand, bend, crouch, crawl, and twist. Reach, push, and pull with hands and arms. Lift up to 50 pounds. Talk and hear, both in person and by telephone.
• Working Conditions: Most work takes place inside an industrial/warehouse environment. Employees may handle hazardous material or have exposure airborne fumes. The noise level is usually mild to moderate 75% of the time.
