Job summary

AAA, United States, Inc. is seeking skilled Cabinet Fabricators to join a Little Rock, AR team involved in designing and building aircraft cabinets and associated components.

You will fabricate cabinets, follow procedures, and work with 2D/3D data to ensure correct assemblies. The role requires strong carpentry and fabrication skills, ability to read technical drawings, and a focus on safety, quality, and timely delivery.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 5 years’ experience in aircraft cabinetry, carpentry or fabrication.
• Proficient with detailed cabinet components and assemblies.
• Knowledge of veneer, laminate application and finishing steps.
• Ability to read 2D/3D data and use it for fabrication.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate cabinets that support aircraft delivery using established procedures.
• Perform quality checks and mentor others to meet safety, quality, and schedule targets.
• Lead and train team members on specific assignments as directed by team lead.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area and ensure materials traceability.
• Work safely per OSHA and company safety procedures.

Position Summary:

AAA, United States, Inc. has partnered with a company in Little Rock, Arkansas that shapes the future by designing and building military aircraft, business jets and space systems. We are looking for experienced Cabinet Fabricators who are seeking their next opportunity in a complex and ever-changing work environment!

The Cabinet Fabricator will fabricate cabinets that support the delivery of aircraft using construction skills while following procedures and guidelines.

Essential Functions:

• Consistently performs and encourages peers to perform at or above the expected standards of safety, quality, schedule and cost.
• Works with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions to build aircraft cabinet components.
• Mentors co-workers or contractors to help develop individuals skills, knowledge and work performance per DFJ engineering, quality and company procedures, through example, positive attitude, work environment, and motivation.
• Proposes and supports continuous improvement to management and co-workers.
• Embraces and fosters ACE values with peers and helps create a work environment aimed at operational excellence.
• Performs quality checks of fabricated items performing both self and peer checks.
• Selects materials from stock to manufacture parts and maintain traceability of materials.
• Communicate and interact well with co-workers and management.
• Uses expertise to save potential lost time or possible scrap when rework is required.
• Successfully performs rework at the aircraft in a timely manner being aware of the aircraft delivery schedule.
• Handles finished, plated and painted parts in accordance with company standards and procedures.
• Maintains a clean and organized work area.
• Leads and trains other personnel on specific job assignments as directed by team lead.
• Works in a safe manner in accordance with OSHA and company safety procedures.
• Performs cleaning of any equipment as needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years’ experience in aircraft cabinetry, carpentry or fabrication.
• Proficient in all of the following areas with low or no rework.
• Sub assembly Mortise and Tenon (must be qualified), most complex carcass assemblies.
• Veneer and laminate application.
• Final assembly and cabinet installation.
• Able to work custom inlays, mirror and exotic assemblies.
• Able to set up and operate all standard equipment or tools.
• Good working knowledge of math and geometry: Able to work in both metric and imperial units of measure.
• Strong communication skills.
• Knows the importance of schedules and budgets and helps team achieve objectives.
• Computer proficient.
• Able to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Must have visual capacity and muscular dexterity to work on fine detail, high cost products with a minimum of errors and rework
• Able to work with engineering and industrial definition using 2D/3D data, company standards and work instructions to build aircraft cabinet components.
• Must be able to work with adhesives and chemicals.
• Must not be allergic to industrial chemicals.
• Must be able to work in confined spaces.
