Job summary

Mach Industries seeks an Air Vehicle Design Engineer to shape unmanned aircraft and missile concepts, owning OML geometry and parametric CAD models. You will coordinate with Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Structures and Flight Test to mature configurations from layout to hardware, balancing manufacturability and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in aerospace, mechanical or related engineering field.
• 2+ years in aircraft, missile, or unmanned vehicle design.
• Experience in first-order sizing, layout, and multidisciplinary trade studies.
• Ability to define and maintain vehicle OML geometry and surfacing.
• Proficiency with NX, CATIA or Creo and parametric modeling.
• Translate requirements into viable vehicle geometry across teams.
• Knowledge of packaging interactions among aerodynamics, propulsion and structures.

Responsibilities

• Translate mission requirements into feasible aircraft and missile configurations.
• Define and loft vehicle OML geometry, planforms, noses, surfaces and inlets.
• Build robust parametric CAD models for OML and major assemblies.
• Develop integrated layouts balancing aerodynamics, weight and manufacturability.
• Provide geometry interfaces to discipline teams and incorporate feedback.
• Collaborate with Aerodynamics, Propulsion, Structures, GNC, Manufacturing, Flight Test.
• Support prototype fabrication, integration and design changes in hardware.
• Present trade studies and technical recommendations to leadership.
