Qualifications

• Masters Degree or Bachelors Degree with requisite industry experience.
• FAA Air Traffic Control Specialist Certification
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills, being willing to work one-on-one with air traffic program students.
• Ideally, the applicant holds a master's or bachelor's degree, but with extensive work experience in the field, the requirement of a degree may be omitted.
• Applicants should provide statements on their professional air traffic control background and the names and contact information of three professional references.

Responsibilities

• Teach air traffic control procedures and techniques based on current standards.
• Serve as primary instructor for air traffic basics courses for students with little aviation background.
• Mentor students and support undergraduate education through experiential learning.
• Develop classroom and laboratory courses across undergraduate levels with hands-on methods.
