Job summary

Serco is seeking an Air Traffic Controller in Kenai, AK to join a team responsible for safe, efficient movement of aircraft. You will issue clearances, monitor weather, coordinate with ground and flight crews, and support unit operations.

Qualifications include US citizenship, an FAA Second Class Medical Certificate, CTO rating or equivalent, and eligibility to work in the United States. The role offers competitive pay and relocation benefits.

Qualifications

• US citizenship
• FAA Second Class Medical Certificate
• CTO rating or Credential with Tower Rating and 6 months of practical experience
• Eligibility to work for Serco under Federal Immigration Laws
• Pre-employment drug screen
• FAA Security clearance (interim and final suitability)

Responsibilities

• Answer radio calls from arriving/departing aircraft
• Issue landing/takeoff instructions
• Provide runway usage, wind, visibility, taxiing data and other aircraft information
• Issue air traffic clearances
• Disseminate weather information as LAWRS observer
• Transfer and receive control of aircraft
• Operate radios, telephones, radar and other control equipment
• Alert responders to aircraft emergencies
• Coordinate with airport vehicles and personnel
• Maintain daily operation records
• Provide on-the-job training as required
