Qualifications

• 10 years as a KC-135 Boom Operator required.
• 2000 total flight hours required.
• Must have a current FAA Class 2 Medical and COVID-19 Vaccination Record.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-flight, through-flight, and post-flight inspections.
• Safely transfer fuel to contracted aircraft during flight.
• Maintain all necessary qualifications related to KC-135 tanker fleet.

Position Summary

Air Refueling Operators (ARO’s) are aircrew membersaboard Metrea Strategic Mobility’s (MSM) tanker aircraft.

Essential Functions Statement

• Pre-flight, through-flight, and post-flight inspections, checklists and documentation.
• Computing/loading weight and balance data.
• Loading/unloading personnel and cargo.
• Safely and effectively transferring fuel from MSM tanker aircraft (MPRS, BDA, Boom) to contracted receiver aircraft during flight.
• Operational checks of Air Refueling equipment (to include onboard camera/recording systems).
• Maintain Situational Awareness (SA) and use Crew Resource Management (CRM) throughout all phases of flight.
• Adhere to company Flight Operation Procedures (FOP’s), Ground Operation Procedures (GOP’s) and Safety Notices.
• Maintain all currencies, qualifications and advanced systems knowledge as related to the MSM KC-135 tanker fleet.

Required Education, Experience And Certificates

Education: High School Diploma or GED

• 10 years as a KC-135 Boom Operator

Preferred Education, Experience And Certificates

Current and qualified KC-135R IB/EB in the last 39 months

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

Must be able to accomplish any and all duties with little or no assistance.

Must have good command of the English language; oral and written.

Work Authorization/Security Clearance
