Job summary

Buckland is seeking an experienced Air & Ocean Specialist, Senior to coordinate documentation and advances for clearance, deliver freight after clearance, and monitor entry processes to ensure shipments comply with US CFRs.

You will provide top-tier customer service, manage imports, collaborate with forwarders, and help develop departmental processes. Requires 3+ years of experience and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Intermediate MS Office experience.
• Knowledge of CAD or USA regulations knowledge is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide the highest level of customer service to clients.
• Responsible for all Import of Air & Ocean shipments.
• Work with forwarders on daily basis.
• Ensure POD is supplied.
• Expediting and tracing as required.
• Determination of profit levels and billing.
• Process required customs documentation.
• Development, implementation, and maintenance of department processes.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Role

This position is responsible for coordinate the handling of documentation and advances for clearance, delivery of freight after clearance, and monitoring and control all entry/entry summary preparation to ensure shipments are entered in accordance with the US Federal Code of Regulations.

Required Qualifications And Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum three years of relevant work experience.
• Intermediate MS Office experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent problem solving and decision-making skills.

Physical Demands

• Occasionally bend, squat, kneel, reach above shoulder, and frequently sit, handle objects (manual dexterity), use fine finger movement.
• Occasionally must carry/lift loads of up to 15 lbs.

Work Environment

• Frequently read/comprehend, write, perform calculations, communicate orally, reason and analyze.
