Job summary

Air Evac Lifeteam, a leader in air medical care, is recruiting for a HAA Pilot Full-Time opportunity in Illinois. The role offers a lucrative compensation package with 106,511–117,162 USD including a 20% geo modifier, plus a 15,000 USD sign-on bonus and retention plans. On-duty housing and a 7/7 schedule are included.

The position requires extensive rotorcraft experience and multiple FAA certificates, with strong emphasis on safety, documentation, and teamwork across dispatch and flight crews.

Qualifications

• Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate is required.
• Helicopter instrument rating is required.
• Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate is required.
• Total flight hours: 2,000 required.
• Helicopter hours: 1,500 required.
• Helicopter PIC hours: 1,000 required.
• Turbine helicopter hours: 1,000 required.
• 200 helicopter night flight hours (aided or unaided) required.
• Weight limit: 230 lb including flight gear.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team of medical experts to safely transport customers to and from locations and facilities.
• Ensure aircraft readiness for flight dispatches and comply with FAR and Air Evac Lifeteam requirements and aircraft cleanliness duties.
• Maintain Air Evac Lifeteam and regulatory documentation and records.
• Communicate and collaborate with dispatch, flight crews, facilities, and partners.
• Provide shift change info to successive pilot and team following documented procedures.
• Maintain required certifications and ongoing training.

Current Rotorcraft FAA Commercial Certificate

Helicopter instrument rating

Current FAA Class II Medical Certificate
