Job summary

Worldwide Flight Services (WFS) in Bloomington, MN seeks an Air Logistics Ramp Associate to support cargo operations, loading/unloading, and safe ramp handling at our Express location.

The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. English proficiency and the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends, are essential.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload cargo from aircraft within confined areas.
• Push, pull and position loaded containers up to 3,200 lbs.
• Read off-load sheets to determine cargo destination.
• Operate ramp equipment handling 3,000–80,000 lbs in congested areas.
• Assist in aircraft push-back and guide the driver as needed.
• Understand and react to verbal safety warnings and commands.

Responsibilities

• Transport, load and unload cargo from aircraft within confined areas
• Push, pull and position loaded containers weighing up to 3,200 lbs
• Removal of tie-downs and other gear when loading and unloading
• Read "off-load" sheets to determine destination of cargo.
• Operating ramp equipment with gross weights of 3,000 to 80,000 lbs. in areas congested with aircraft, moving and stationary vehicles and equipment as well as positioning vehicle up to aircraft
• Engage in push-out of aircraft driving 80,000 lb. vehicle or assist by providing guide function to driver using depth perception in congested areas or speaking to cockpit during push-back procedure.
• Ability to understand and react to verbal commands and safety warnings, with and without, assistance of sight or visual aids.
• 18 years and older
• High School Diploma or GED (Required)
• Valid Driver’s license
• Required to work primarily outside (rain, snow, heat, cold)Ability to read, write and understand the English language

Preferred Skills

• Ability to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language.
• Ability to work rotating shifts including weekends (i.e., Friday, Saturday and Sunday), holidays, and days off.

Physical Requirements/Working Conditions

• Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in a variety of temperatures, rain, wind, hot and cold weather
• Ability to stand for an entire shift and move long distances across our facilities
