Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an Air Cooled Chiller Technical Specialist to support the performance of our chiller portfolio. In this hands-on role, you will collaborate with engineering teams, troubleshoot complex systems, coordinate testing activities, and help bring new product enhancements to life.

This onsite position requires relocation or commuting to the Advanced Engineering and Development Center in New Freedom, PA.

Qualifications

• 5+ years related experience in chiller/thermal systems.
• Knowledge of refrigeration system operation, fabrication and service processes.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of mechanical components.

Responsibilities

• Lead component, sub-system, and full chiller test setup and communicate test plans to lab operators.
• Arrange procurement and fabrication of parts for testing.
• Organize test data and evaluate measurement accuracy and test plan applicability.
• Coordinate between departments to design, build, and test chiller components and subsystems.
• Create sketches for drafting and lab designs of test setups.
• Troubleshoot problematic chillers and subsystems; propose solutions.
• Communicate technical information clearly in written, verbal, and graphical form.
• Learn codes and standards related to the role.
• Manage complex test-related projects to ensure on-time completion.
• Generate technical documentation related to chiller and component tests.

In this hands‑on position, you’ll collaborate with engineering teams, troubleshoot complex chiller systems, coordinate testing activities, and help bring new product enhancements to life. This position is based onsite in our Advanced Engineering and Development Center in New Freedom, PA. Candidates must be commuting distance to the facility, or able to relocate. Only US Citizens and Permanent Residents of the US will be considered for this position.

HIRING HOURLY RANGE: $70,000 - $85,000 (Hourly rate to be determined by the education, experience,knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with marketdata.) This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflectsthe target compensation for this role.
