Job summary

Air Force Materiel Command is seeking a civilian to install, repair, relocate, and modify large/complex refrigeration and air conditioning systems across mission critical facilities.

You will troubleshoot, maintain, and service air conditioning equipment in warehouses, hangars, hospitals and large office buildings, following established safety rules and procedures, and frequently address complex electronic controls and supporting equipment to ensure continuous environmental conditions.

Responsibilities

• The employee repairs, maintains arid modifies a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems and supporting equipment with complex problems and extensive repairs requiring judgment to locate malfunctions
• Plans and lays out work to meet a variety of critical requirements, installs a variety of large complex commercial and industrial systems, supporting equipment used to condition air in warehouses, shops, hangars, hospitals, large office buildings and often in mission critical facilities that require a constant set of conditions
• Troubleshoots, repairs, modifies and often relocates a variety of large commercial and industrial refrigeration and air conditioning systems, complex electronic systems and supporting equipment to include
• Utilizes established safety and security practices, rules, regulations, and procedures to maintain a safe, clean and secure work environment

The primary purpose of this position is to install, repair, relocate, and modify large/complex systems that provide for a variety of special purpose air conditioning functions such as heating, cooling, humidifying, dehumidifying, cleaning, filtering, and circulating.
