Job summary

PHI Health is seeking a skilled First Officer (SIC) to support two-pilot IFR air ambulance missions aboard a Learjet 31A from the Kansas City base. You will fly with a seasoned captain, uphold CAMTS guidelines, and ensure safety during time-critical patient transports 24/7.

Ideal candidates bring ATP and an unrestricted or restricted multi-engine certificate, 2,000 total hours, and 1,000 PIC hours (500 PIC in multi-engine turbine). Strong communication and service mindset are essential.

Qualifications

• ATP (Airplane Multi-Engine Land) required.
• FAA First Class Medical required.
• 2,000 total airplane hours minimum.
• 1,000 PIC hours minimum (incl. 500 PIC in multi-engine turbine airplanes).
• 100 hours night experience preferred.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to live within one hour of the Kansas City base.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SIC on Learjet 31A in two-pilot IFR air ambulance operations.
• Execute line pilot duties per GOM and company procedures.
• Champion Safety Management System and Destination Zero initiatives.
• Support 24-hour mission coverage on a 7-on/7-off roster (day/night).
• Deliver safe, courteous service to internal and external customers.
• Assist with patient and equipment loading/unloading; lifting tasks as needed.
• Participate in community outreach and PHI Air Medical policies.
