We're seeking research scientists and engineers to create breakthrough innovations in computer vision, machine learning, robotics, computer graphics, and related areas. We are particularly interested in photorealistic image synthesis, frontier models (including large multimodal models), agentic workflows, robotics, and the interface of AI and science. You will work in an organization of world-class machine learning researchers and engineers. Our work powers cutting-edge technologies across the Apple ecosystem and is published in the most selective scientific journals and conferences.

Minimum Qualifications

1. Significant experience building complete prototypes that achieve state-of-the-art performance in your areas of expertise.
2. Solid software engineering skills in complex, multi-language systems. Fluency in Python.
3. Expertise in ML algorithms and top practices for working with deep learning systems.
4. Proficiency with ML modeling frameworks (PyTorch, Tensorflow, etc.).
5. Strong overall software development approach. You deliver clean, well-tested code.

Preferred Qualifications

1. Bachelors, Masters, or PhD Degree in Computer Science/Electrical Engineering/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent academic or professional experience.

Pay & Benefits

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs. Apple employees are eligible for discretionary restricted stock unit awards, and can purchase Apple stock at a discount if voluntarily participating in Apple’s Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
