Job summary

Corona Regional Medical Center is seeking a Part-time Weekends Aide (MH/BH) to assist patients with ADLs, support wellness, and document care on weekend shifts. This role emphasizes compassionate care in a mental health/behavioral health context within a busy hospital setting.

Ideal candidates hold CA CNA certification, BLS/CPR, and at least six months of hospital experience; training in Assaultive Behavior Management is required within 90 days of hire.

Qualifications

• Six months recent hospital (med/surg and/or psych) experience is preferred.
• Assaultive Behavior Management training within 90 days from hire date.
• Current California CNA certificate is preferred; CPR/BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) and promote patient wellness.
• Document patient activities clearly and accurately in the chart.
• Support mental health care needs and patient safety on weekends.

Part-time Weekends Aide -MH/BH at Corona Regional Medical Center located in Corona, Ca.

Reporting to the Nurse Manager/Program Director, the certified nurse assistant/mental health worker will assist in the promotion, maintenance and restoration of health of patients assigned to his/her care. Responsibilities include assisting with ADL's, promoting wellness, health/education and clearly documenting patient activities.

The tradition of caring that culminated in the establishment of Corona Regional Medical Center® began in 1965, with the founding of Corona Community Hospital. Since that time the hospital has changed to meet the needs of the rapidly growing community. Corona Community Hospital merged with Circle City Medical Center in 1992 and the resulting entity became Corona Regional Medical Center. Qualifications

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE / SKILLS

• Knowledge of Patient Rights
• Knowledge of physiological changes that occur with patients age 55 plus.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE

• Six months recent hospital (med/surg and/or psych) experience required.

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL EDUCATION

• Assaultive Behavior Management training required within 90 days from date of hire.

REQUIRED LICENSURE / CERTIFICATIONS

• Current California Certified Nurse Assistant Certificate preferred.
• Current BLS (CPR) Certificate required.
