Job summary

Sturdy Memorial Hospital is seeking a dedicated environmental services worker to maintain clean, orderly hospital facilities. You will perform carpet care and hard floor restoration, and assist with meeting preparations as needed, contributing to a safe and welcoming environment for patients and staff.

The role requires adherence to policies, effective prioritization, and strong communication with patients, families, physicians, and colleagues.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cleaning services experience with floor care knowledge.
• Ability to read and write English.
• Ability to follow policies and procedures without exception.
• Ability to prioritize requests while maintaining workflow.
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs while staying focused on tasks.
• Excellent verbal communication and customer service with stakeholders across care continuum.

Scheduled Weekly Hours: 0

Performs assigned project work to maintain hospital facilities in a clean, orderly condition in accordance with established policies and procedures. Tasks include but are not limited to carpet care, hard floor restoration, and meeting set ups.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• 1-3 years of experience in cleaning services, with working knowledge of floor care
• Ability to read and write English
• Ability to adhere to policies and procedures without exception
• Ability to effectively prioritize requests, while maintaining established work flow
• Flexibility to adapt to changing needs while maintaining focus in accomplishing tasks.
• Must have excellent oral communication and customer service skills in working with stakeholders across the care continuum, including patients, families, physicians and colleagues.
• Detail oriented with ability to accurately complete daily work tickets
• Ability to productively work alone and as part of a collaborative team

Preferred Skills/Qualifications/Training/Experience:

• Related experience, preferably in a hospital setting

Educational Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred

Salary Range: $17.64-$26.58
