Job summary

Phoenix Physical Therapy is seeking a Physical Therapy Aide to assist the clinical staff with routine tasks, room preparation, and patient assistance. You will help patients with limited mobility access treatment areas and perform administrative duties to support daily operations.

Responsibilities include preparing treatment rooms, maintaining sanitation standards, monitoring supply levels, and providing information to patients about treatments and evaluations.

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent is required.
• CPR certification is required.
• Previous experience in a healthcare environment is preferred.
• Detail-oriented with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and follow directions and work safely around patients.

Responsibilities

• Prepares patients for treatment and sets up equipment for sessions.
• Changes linens and cleans therapy rooms and equipment.
• Provides patients with information regarding treatments and evaluations.
• Monitors inventory of physical therapy supplies and restocks as needed.
• Maintains safe, secure, and sanitary work environment by following procedures and regulations.
• Assists with other duties as assigned by the clinical team.

POSITION SUMMARY:The Physical Therapy Aide assists the physical therapy staff with routine operational tasks. Help prepare treatment equipment and rooms, assist patients with limited mobility to reach treatment areas, and perform administrative duties.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Performs everyday activities such as preparing patients for treatment, setting up equipment, changing linens, and cleaning therapy rooms/equipment.Provides patients with information regarding treatments and evaluations.Monitors and maintains inventory for physical therapy supplies.Ensures that treatment rooms and open gym space adhere to appropriate safety and sanitation requirements.Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal regulations.Other duties as assigned.MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS:Education / Training:High school education or equivalent.Current CPR certificationPrevious experience in a healthcare environment preferred.Specialized Knowledge/Skills:Detail-oriented.Customer/client orientation.Ability to understand and follow directions.Interpersonal skills.Physical Requirements:Varied activities including sitting, walking, squatting, stooping, lifting, bending, reaching.Must be able to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and to lift 100 pounds.***Phoenix Physical Therapy is committed to having a workforce that reflects diversity at all levels and is an equal opportunity employer.
