Job summary

SpaceXSI is seeking an AI TUTOR for Croatian language tasks in a remote, temporary role. You will annotate multilingual audio, translate UI content from English to Croatian with high accuracy, and help produce datasets with proper prosody and accent details.

The position supports global remote work (US/UK/Canada/Australia) and requires CEFR C1 Croatian and CEFR B2 English, with flexibility for full-time or part-time arrangements.

• Collaborate with technical staff to refine annotation guidelines and tools for accents, background noise, and multilingual audio.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Annotate, label, and provide feedback on multilingual audio clips, voice recordings, and speech samples using proprietary tools
• Translate and localize text (UI copy, prompts, responses, and other content) from English into Croatian, with attention to accuracy, natural phrasing, and cultural fit
• Help produce clear, natural audio data that accurately captures linguistic and prosodic details such as intonation, rhythm, and accent
• Collaborate with technical staff to refine annotation guidelines and tools for handling accents, background noise, speech variation, and multilingual audio

POSITION DETAILS:

This is a temporary position with SpaceXSI, for the length of time as stated, and is subject to change with minimal notice as business needs dictate

LENGTH OF POSITION: 6 months (extensions or conversion to a permanent role may be available based on business needs)

LOCATION: Remote (United States, United Kingdom, Canada, and Australia); for US-based candidates, please note that we are unable to hire in Wyoming and Illinois at this time

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proficiency in Croatian at CEFR C1 level or higher
• English proficiency at CEFR B2 level or higher

PREFERRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Native proficiency in Croatian
• English proficiency at CEFR C1 level or higher
• Experience in one or more of the following areas: Advanced transcription or audio annotation, with strong attention to accents, prosody, disfluencies, and variable recording quality
• Translation or localization work (especially UI, product copy, or conversational text) between English and Croatian
• Voice recording, voice acting, podcasting, or related audio production that demonstrates clear delivery and attention to sound quality
• Background in linguistics, phonetics, speech sciences, or hands‑on work with speech/audio datasets and AI training data

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

• This role may be offered as a full-time or part-time position depending on role/business needs and candidate availability; full-time positions are preferred and require working standard business hours in your local time zone
• We are unable to provide visa sponsorship
• Must be willing to travel to a SpaceXSI site

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:

• US-based candidates: $35/hour - $45/hour depending on factors including relevant experience, skills, education, geographic location, and qualifications.
