Prolific is seeking Aerospace Engineers to join our expert network for open source CAD research and AI training. This remote, freelance role offers ad hoc tasks with no fixed schedule and PayPal payments.

You will design CAD models, run validations with Python, and contribute to datasets used to train AI models. Selected tasks pay hourly up to $120, with a $12 hourly screener.

Formación

• Bachelors degree or higher in Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• Strong proficiency with open-source CAD software (e.g., FreeCAD, KiCad, or similar).
• Comfortable using Linux and/or Windows environments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent attention to detail.
• A reliable internet connection and access to a computer.

Responsabilidades

• Design physical objects suitable for 3D printing using open-source CAD software.
• Complete engineering design tasks while your workflow, including tool usage, clicks, and design decisions, is captured to help train AI models on engineering problem-solving.
• Write and execute Python validation scripts to support your design workflow.

Joining our talent pool for this project also opens the door to similar paid projects in future. Everything is fully remote and ad hoc, on a freelance basis, with full control over which projects you accept. Payments are made via PayPal.

Onceyouhavejoinedthetalentpool,youwillbeaskedtocompleteashortscreener(around10minutes,compensatedat$12/h),andifselectedfortheprojectwillbeaskedtotakepartintasksofvariouscomplexitiespaying upto$120/hour.

Tasks

• Designphysicalobjectssuitablefor3Dprintingusingopen-sourceCADsoftware.
• Completeengineeringdesigntaskswhileyourworkflow,includingtoolusage,clicks,anddesigndecisions,iscapturedtohelptrainAImodelsonengineeringproblem-solving.
• WriteandexecutePythonvalidationscriptstosupportyourdesignworkflow.
• Examples: Fixed-wing glider maximizing glide distance (≤4 printed parts); propeller blade optimizing static thrust; rocket fin set minimizing drag while maintaining stability; drone frame minimizing weight subject to impact survival
• T_ypical tools:_ XFoil, OpenFOAM, OpenRocket, JavaProp, FreeCAD
