Job summary

Drata, based in San Francisco, is seeking a Platform Engineer, AI Tooling to enhance the internal AI platform that boosts engineer efficiency by developing custom agent skills and automating coding lifecycles. You will own key areas of the platform and collaborate closely with senior engineers in an agile environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer building production systems and platforms.
• Daily user of AI coding tools with experience customizing them.
• Working knowledge of MCP and how to expose internal tools to AI agents safely.
• Solid backend skills in TypeScript or Python in production.
• Experience with CI/CD systems (GitHub Actions or similar).

Responsibilities

• Implement custom agent skills, hooks, and plugins for engineering workflows.
• Build workflows that automate coding lifecycle: code generation and testing.
• Help engineering teams adopt and customize AI coding tools.
• Wire AI into CI/CD: automated PR review and doc generation.
• Investigate and fix issues: misbehaving agents, eval regressions.
