Job summary

SimplePractice seeks an AI Solutions Engineer to bridge AI capabilities and business needs across GTM and G&A. You will plan and execute applied AI within Marketing, Finance, and Customer Success, delivering value through automation and strategic AI initiatives.

You will report to the Head of AI Transformation and drive delivery with group leaders, focusing on practical AI applications, demos, and tangible outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience rapidly building prototypes, PoCs, and consuming external APIs to test and deliver AI solutions.
• Proven experience building AI based systems using orchestration platforms, config files, prompt management.

Responsibilities

• Go deep on understanding the jobs to be done in the group; bridge domain expertise and AI expertise.
• Produce and own the Internal AI Adoption roadmap for the group.
• Define, own and report on the KPIs and goals for AI Adoption.

• Build AI solutions to meet business needs.
• Dive deep in the group function and learn how Marketing operates; demonstrate curiosity.
• Stay grounded in delivering value and cut through the AI hype.
• Evangelize and push others to think differently, but show what is possible through demos and PoCs.

The Role

We are looking for AI engineers that are grounded in finding practical applications for AI in the corporate environment. Our AI Solutions Engineer will be embedded in GTM and G&A groups like Marketing, Finance, Customer Success and partner directly with the functional leadership to plan and execute on applied AI in that function. The goals will range from automation of mechanical work to full re-invention on how the function operates given the new capabilities of AI available to us now. This role is a key part of the bridge between being deep in what AI can and will do and what a specific department needs to deliver. This role will report to our Head of AI Transformation and be responsible to the function owner for delivery and execution.

Responsibilities

• Go deep on understanding the jobs to be done in the group. Help bridge the chasm between domain expertise and AI expertise
• Produce and own the Internal AI Adoption roadmap for the group
• Define, own and report on the KPIs and goals for AI Adoption
• Work with the larger AI Adoption team to help define the shared knowledge and data foundations needed to work cross functionally
• Build AI solutions to meet business needs
• Dive deep in the group function and learn how (for example) Marketing at SimplePractice operates. Demonstrate curiosity constantly.
• Stay grounded in delivering value and cut through the AI hype
• Evangelize and push others to think differently, but demonstrate what is possible through demos and POcs

Desired Skills & Experience

• Experience rapidly building prototypes, PoCs, and consuming external APIs to test and deliver AI solutions.
• Proven experience building AI based systems - using orchestration platforms, config files, prompt management. We do not expect to be training models, but content augmentation and prompt tuning is in scope.
• SaaS experience in general, and group specific such as Marketing in a SaaS environment, would be advantageous
• Previous examples of delivering business value through AI.
• Proficiency in Python (or similar) and integrating AI tools via APIs into existing workflows.
• Hands-on experience with LLM design patterns (such as RAG architecture) and prompt management.
• Demonstrated ability in rapid prototyping and building proof-of-concept AI applications.

Bonus

• Industry Experience: Familiarity with SaaS or healthcare environments.
• Marketing Workflows: Understanding of core marketing operations and standard process flows.
• Workflow Automation: Hands-on experience with tools like n8n or Zapier.

Base salary is one component of total compensation. Employees may also be eligible for an annual bonus or commission. Some roles may also be eligible for overtime pay.The amount below represents the expected annual base compensation range for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we’ll consider many factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Base Compensation Range: $188,000 USD - $235,000 USD
