Microsoft Fabric

Jobbeschreibung

The hard part is done. ChatGPT Enterprise is live. The Microsoft Fabric platform is up and running. Two outstanding data engineers are on the team and keep the data foundation strong. What's missing is the person who decides how the company actually uses AI.

You'll own it from every angle: build the solutions, run the platform, set the guardrails, and teach people to use it. You'll work directly with the VP of Engineering and Information Technology, IT Security, and business leaders across the company. At a company this size, your work won't sit in a pilot. Every department will feel it.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

  • Build reusable AI tools. Turn business requirements into ChatGPT Skills, Sites, custom GPTs, and AI-assisted workflows that teams from Finance to Sales to Production use every week instead of one-off prompts.
  • Own ChatGPT Enterprise. Run users, groups, licenses, role-based access, app availability, and workspace settings. Coordinate SSO and automated provisioning with the Microsoft Entra ID administrator, and keep the operating procedures documented.
  • Decide what gets switched on. Evaluate each new ChatGPT capability and make the call: enable, restrict, pilot, or defer.
  • Set the guardrails. Define acceptable use, sensitive-data handling, retention, external sharing, and third-party app reviews. Run access reviews and approval processes with IT Security and business data owners.
  • Connect AI to company data, safely. Partner with the data engineers to make approved information usable in ChatGPT through supported connected sources and custom MCP apps. Test every permission end to end before anything ships.
  • Drive real adoption. Find use cases department by department, deliver role-based training, write practical guides, and build an internal champion community that makes AI part of daily work.
  • Prove the value. Use workspace analytics and employee feedback to track active use, repeat use, time saved, and quality of work, then refine the training and the tools.

WHAT SUCCESS LOOKS LIKE

In your first 30 days: You’ve met department leaders, IT Security, and the data engineering team. You've audited the ChatGPT workspace (access, settings, current usage), confirmed the SSO and provisioning setup with the Entra ID administrator, and ranked the highest-value use cases across the company.

In your first 60 days: Your first two or three reusable solutions are live with real users. Core admin procedures are documented, and a working approval process exists for new skills, sites, and integrations. You've identified your first group of internal champions.

In your first 90 days: Solutions you built are in regular use across multiple departments, and leadership has seen baseline adoption and time-saved numbers. You've presented a roadmap covering upcoming ChatGPT features, your enable/restrict/pilot/defer recommendations, and the integration approach for company data.

WHAT THE TEAM IS LOOKING FOR

Required

  • A track record of building reusable AI solutions (custom GPTs, skills, or workflows) that non-technical employees use repeatedly. You’re strong at prompt design, organizing reference knowledge, and testing output accuracy.
  • Hands-on administration of an enterprise AI or SaaS workspace: users, groups, licenses, role-based access, and SSO or automated provisioning alongside an identity administrator.
  • Practical governance judgment. You assess permission and data-exposure risk before deploying, and you can work with security teams on approval processes and access reviews.
  • Working knowledge of APIs, authentication, and secure data access, plus enough scripting to troubleshoot applications and prototype fixes.
  • The ability to teach. You've run role-based training, written guides people actually use, and gotten employees to change how they work, not just attend a demo.
  • Clear communication with executives and frontline employees alike, and the influence to drive adoption across departments without direct authority.

Nice to Have

  • Experience with Microsoft Fabric, Model Context Protocol (MCP), or custom app integrations.
  • Direct ChatGPT Enterprise administration experience, or deep experience with a comparable platform such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, or Gemini.
  • A background in change management, internal training, or building champion networks.
  • Experience in consumer goods, manufacturing, or other multi-site operating environments.
