Job summary

Akaasa Technologies is seeking an experienced AI Solutions Architect to support a confidential defense manufacturing client. The role focuses on Generative AI, GCP, cloud architecture, CI/CD, and modernization, with remote work in Virginia and some onsite travel.

The ideal candidate will design and prototype AI-driven solutions, lead technical workstreams, and guide prototypes through production readiness in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Strong experience as a Solutions Architect, AI Architect, Cloud Architect, or similar senior role.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong knowledge of cloud architecture, CI/CD, DevOps, and application modernization.
• Experience taking applications from prototype/POC to production.
• Strong understanding of Generative AI, LLMs, and AI solution architecture.
• Experience designing and rapidly prototyping AI-driven solutions.
• Strong understanding of security, scalability, integration, and production-readiness.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and provide technical leadership in an ambiguous environment.
• Experience mentoring engineers and leading technical workstreams.
• Manufacturing, defense, aerospace, or regulated-industry experience is a plus.

The client operates multiple independent business units and is building internal software engineering capabilities to transform prototype applications into secure, scalable, production-ready solutions. The AI Solutions Architect will work directly within the client's team to review and prioritize technical initiatives, design and prototype AI-driven solutions, and help transition successful prototypes into production.
